WHISTLEBLOWING SYSTEM – A SAFE WAY TO REPORT CONCERNS
We wish to act honestly and transparently
As a responsible company, we want to be a reliable company with high business ethics. It is important for us to create and maintain a fair and safe working environment. We consider compliance with applicable laws and respect for human rights both in our operations and among our business partners to be important. We have created a secure reporting system for notifying violations and submitting complaints.
Having such a system in place helps to:
- prevent problems from arising;
- reduce risks;
- protect employees and the company’s reputation;
- improve the work environment and organizational culture;
- increase transparency and trust both within and outside the company;
- ensure compliance with laws and best practices.
Whistleblowing System
The whistleblowing system enables anyone to notify possible violations, unethical behavior, legal infringements, unusual activities, or other issues to us. Such work-related violations may concern our employees, the company, or the actions of our business partners, affecting, in the broader picture, our operating environment and society.
The system ensures complete confidentiality, enabling notifications to be submitted anonymously. However, all notifications must be submitted in good faith and with a sincere belief that the information may indicate a violation. We do not tolerate malicious behavior and thoroughly check all claims. We do not require proof, but we sincerely hope that notifications are submitted in good faith. Notifications are not retained – all notifications are deleted once the issue has been resolved.
It is important to emphasize that the purpose of the whistleblowing system is not to find someone to blame, but to identify and resolve problems early on. Together, we can create a safer, more honest, and stronger work environment for everyone!
What should the whistleblowing system not be used for?
The whistleblowing system is primarily intended for reporting serious violations, unethical behavior, or illegal activities. It should not be used for everyday work organization issues, routine misunderstandings, personal disagreements, or expressions of dissatisfaction that can be resolved through a direct supervisor, the HR department, or other usual communication channels.
For example, the whistleblowing channel is not intended for communicating vacation schedules, work time arrangements, task distribution, salary issues, minor conflicts between colleagues, or general feedback, unless it concerns a very serious violation, harassment, discrimination, work-related hazard, fraud, or other significant problems.
If an employee is unsure which channel to use, it is worth following the principle: the whistleblowing channel is intended for situations where a problem may harm people, the company, business partners, food safety, property, reputation, or compliance with laws and ethical requirements.
